RAINIER Yurts is proud to announce an innovative solution for customers who need to set up yurts in areas with heavy snow and wind: an enhanced design that greatly improves the load-carrying capacity of our standard yurt - and looks beautiful. Our newly developed and proprietary Eagle Blocks significantly increases the strength of our yurts - a 30' Eagle yurt now is engineered to a standard snow load of 115 pounds per square foot! Our Raven yurt can also be upgraded with Eagle Blocks to meet that same loading. "The Eagle blocking is a significant innovation and will provide superior snow load capacity for the Rainier Yurt product line. I am very pleased with the design," says Steve Kicinski, PE.

We also now offer a Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit. Key to this meeting extreme snow loads are vertical uprights to assure the rafters are held firmly in place and support much higher loads. The Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit will take a 30' Eagle Yurt snow load up to 165 pound per square foot snow load without a center support post, thus leaving the open airy feel to your yurt!
